Installing the New Serato DJ Pro 3.0.7.504 for iOS: A Frustrating Experience

As a DJ, I was excited to update my Serato DJ Pro software to the latest version, 3.0.7.504, on my iOS device. However, after installing the new version, I encountered some frustrating issues that made it difficult to use the software for video mixing.

The first problem I faced was dropped frames and a low average frame rate (FPS) of around 30-50 when playing back videos. Despite setting the framerate in Handbrake, a popular video encoding software, to 'Same as Source,' the issue persisted. The resulting file size was also quite large at 215MB.

The debug option in Serato revealed an average framerate of around 7-10, which is far below the recommended minimum. The test video used was a YouTube rip of Porter Robinson's Shelter video, which is encoded in h264 with AAC audio.

In conclusion, installing the new Serato DJ Pro 3.0.7.504 for iOS has been a frustrating experience due to the issues I've encountered with dropped frames and low FPS.
